These design sketches of Gipi (with a distinct manga flavouring) where rendered by Una Lau, who will be helping us out along the way with covers, posters and whatever else we can squeeze out of her talented digits!

Ok so these are some rough concepts of what our (as yet unnamed!) robot character could look like.

Still playing with some ideas - but this is a starting point at least! I'm thinking he may be a little friendly looking at the moment - he may need to be a bit more menacing?

So here's some more Gipi. This time rendered by Joel VDK and coloured by myself (getting used to the wacom world). I like how rough it is though.

This is a sketch of the super cute angsty punk rocker female lead character 'Gipi'. She has an obsession with the colour pink, plays a Fender Mustang Bass (red with go fast stripes) and lives with her dad in the Undercity. We're still developing her look (i'm sure the guys will make her look less grumpy) but this is my first impression of her...

I'm Stewart (the writer dude) and the funky art freaks are Joel VDK and Shane DeVries. They both have solo blogs of extreme awesomeness that will soon be linked in here and that you should most definitely check out!!

This blog though will chronicle the sketches, love, sweat and tears that go into making a nerd dream come true. That's right. We're talking making our own comic book and ruling the world!

Ok so the second bit won't happen until we travel through time in our '71 Boss Mustang (the flux capacitor is on the way from Ebay as we speak, the 'stang is still to come) but rest assured one day it will happen.
